26. Metaphysics of Light
The Metaphysics Of Light
Over the past century, quantum physicists have discovered properties of light that are revolutionizing our view of reality. Traditional (Newtonian) physics assumed that the universe has an objective existence, independent of our subjective consciousness. However, recent discoveries have called this assumption into question, leading to conclusions that are remarkably consistent with ancient spiritual teachings.
1. Nonlocality
Photons can be split into pairs spinning away from each other in opposite directions. When one member of the pair changes direction the other shifts its direction in an equivalent manner, even at great distances. This is called quantum entanglement.
Interestingly, photons respond to each other at a speed far greater than light, even though nothing can move faster than light. Therefore, a nonphysical form communication must be connecting the photons, such as thought.

2. Wave-Particle Duality
While studying photoelectrons, Einstein discovered that light waves become particles when in contact with each other. It was later discovered, in the ‘double-slit’ experiment, that photons of light appear as waves when not being observed and as particles when being observed. This was also found to be true for atoms and molecules, leading to the realization that all physical reality manifests to us in response to our focused attention.
Consciousness Causes All Things To Exist!
3. Speed of Light
It was discovered that light is always measured at the same speed, no matter how fast one is moving. Ordinarily, objects appear faster when moving towards them. This was a shocking discovery that perplexed physicists and led to Einstein’s theory of relativity. His hypothesis was that time measuring devices must compensate for their own movement in such a way that they measure exactly the same speed of light. This led to the idea that a person in a fast moving object would experience time more slowly and that a person moving at the speed of light would experience no time at all. However, this has never been proven.
The more probable reason that light is always measured to move at the same speed is that light waves emanate from the mind, forming the matrix of space.*
For explanation: If you are moving in a car (mind), the only things that move at the same speed, no matter how fast or in what direction you go, is the car itself and anything in the car (light). Time (moving light) is not experienced as slowing down for the driver, no matter how fast, and would continue for him or her at the same rate as anyone else on earth. Thus, there is no such thing as time travel, since time is experienced at the same rate to all individuals everywhere in the universe.
There Is Only The Eternal Present!
*Light waves occupy all points of space, but are only seen when willed into manifestation by consciousness. Sunlight is a projection of the Self, experienced as a projection of the Sun. The subjective origin of light also explains why the universe appears to be expanding away from us in all directions. Light begins with us and dissolves into the black holes of distant projected space.
